At Athletes Better Together, we offer a variety of programs designed to support athletes through every stage of their journey. Whether you're preparing for college sports, exploring personal values, or building mental skills, our structured sessions and one-on-one mentorships provide the tools you need to succeed. Here's an overview of our current programs.

PROGRAM 1

Athlete with Net

Session 1- Expectations

Better Together mentors, consisting of college athletes, will discuss what to expect in the collegiate athletic environment. Following our panel discussion, our certified Mental Health Professionals will teach skills and strategies to best prepare for this change through goal setting and habit building. We will focus on “process-oriented” vs. “outcome-oriented” goals and how to use each in pursuit of achieving set goals. The session will focus on building habits and routines that support goals and meet expectations in and out of sport.

Session 2- Mental Skill Building

High school athletes will simultaneously learn core mental skills that support mental health and performance. We focus on critical skills in mindset, self-talk, mindfulness, breath work, visualization, purpose, grit, and positivity to build resilience in and out of the arena.

Session 3- Communication and Balance

Instructors will teach athletes effective strategies for communicating with teammates and coaches that align with their values and help them achieve their goals. Finally, we will discuss ways to create balance, as student-athletes have many roles and responsibilities to manage. Better Together focuses on techniques and skills to prioritize mental health and well-being.

*In between sessions, each athlete will meet with their designated mentor to reflect on what they learned. They will forge a vital relationship and have the opportunity to talk about preparing for all the nuances that accompany the college athletic experience.
